Glenorchy Trails Trust are in the process of developing some of the most visually stunning cycle and walking trails in New Zealand.

Glenorchy Cycle and Walking Trails

The Bucklerburn Track was officially opened in October 2021 and links the town of Glenorchy to Buckler Burn Bridge via Campbeltown.

Opening Summer 2023! We are currently fundraising for Stage 2 which will include a dedicated bridge for walkers/bikers to safely cross the Buckler burn and get to Whakaari Conservation Area.

To build walking and cycling trails within and between the communities at the head of the lake to separate riders/walkers from roads for safety, enjoyment, & health of the community as well as visitors to the area. Implementation of the missing link in the Te Araroa Trail between Queenstown & Greenstone valley via Glenorchy & Kinloch. To build separate single-track mountain bike trails for community use.
